Classifying Triangles is the flip chart that I chose for this blog. I think that it is a great tool for the classroom because it has interactive capability as well as the knowledge presented in a student friendly way. It also uses the software Active inspire that is teacher friendly and easy to use. Active inspire can also be used on a wide variety of pieces of technology. Using flip charts can help solve problems within the classroom by engaging students by using illustrations to relate the subject to the real world and by having them take part in real world collaboration to create one of their own. This technology also encourages students with disabilities to participate actively within the classroom by making the activities fun but challenging. This technology is advanced and the students could very well make their own lesson to show to the class for a group project. This flip chart could be used in the classroom to help with the understanding of a math lesson and would be very helpful for EL students. The conditions are great for using this technology because this software is not too expensive and many schools can get a grant for the technology. This would not require much teacher training on the part of the school. Much of the learning could take place within a few days and the rest would come from the teachers using the technology and working together. This type of software can be integrated into any type of lesson, like this math flip chart. This type of software incorporates many kinds of software support tools. With the help of an interactive graph the teacher can gather information about her class and what they have learned. You also have a content-area tool because you can use this in every subject and make it highly interactive.

I agree about the accessibility of the software and the cost being easily attainable! I also agree that you can use this software in any subject being taught! My favorite point that you made was about the EL students being involved because I feel too many times they get left behind and this software allows you to accommodate them for them to be active in the learning process in the classroom!

Your flipchart would be beneficial for EL students because it will allow them to actively participate in the lesson, which I know they would thoroughly enjoy. ActivInspire is not too expensive and teachers would love it because it is very user friendly!
